Press Release Body = WHO: Ryan O'Reilly, author of Snapshot (August 2007) WHAT: Much has been made recently of the "twixters" - the 20-something's who are betwixt and between, those putting off the path they're expected to take: college, settling into a career, getting married and having a family, for starters. They travel, job-hop and wade through identity crises. Ryan O'Reilly was one of them, ditching corporate America and searching the country for a deeper outlook on life. WHEN: Ryan O'Reilly is available by phone or in person beginning in July, upon arrangement; his book is available for review.
O'Reilly can discuss: . The late 20s/early 30s identity crisis . Why it's the twixter generation living life to the fullest . How to reclaim your identity as a free individual . How your life's "snapshots" create your legacy
(AUSTIN) Snapshot is the story of a man in his late 20s who leaves his corporate life to travel the country after a series of unfortunate events. During this time, he experiences the country and its people in ways that have a deep effect on him. This is the background in a story about love, friendship, death and freedoms found outside of middle-American normality. He discovers that life is about more than the generally accepted practice of going to school, finding a career, having a family, retiring and dying - it's important to find value in life everywhere and as often as you can.
"I think my generation has the ability to see possibility and potential now more than any other. Our world is becoming non-traditional, and that opens the doors of possibility, imagination and life, really. If one can let go of past and future, realizing they are both closely linked to the present, then possibility and potential become reality." - Ryan O'Reilly
O'Reilly, who studied English at Westminster College, is a freelance writer whose jobs have spanned from fire fighter and police officer to musician and a member of the Army Reserves. O'Reilly is currently the Managing Director of 415 Entertainment. He lives in Austin.
